tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-56992118223940654572012-02-16T16:47:19.216-08:00Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13384800781406465770noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699211822394065457.post-86119160936068649472011-09-06T08:20:00.000-07:002011-09-06T08:20:05.891-07:00&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It is said that people are born to be a leader.&nbsp; I personally disagree with this statement.&nbsp; Leadership, in my opinion is about being able to manipulate one or more people into doing whatever must be done.&nbsp; Although the term manipulation has a more negative connotation, it is really necessary in order to distribute the illusion of control.&nbsp; When I think of a leadership class, the first thing that comes into mind is being provided a 'guided tour' of how we ourselves can be leaders in our own manner.&nbsp; Because everyone is different, this class, I feel, will show everyone what it means to be a leader.&nbsp; The class will provide an outline of previous leaders and what seems to make a leader.&nbsp; There is obviously no set way to become a great leader and therefore we must take this outline that is provided and mold it into their lives.<br /><div class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It is foolish to think that by taking a leadership class, one will automatically become a leader overnight or even at all.&nbsp; Although I do not believe you are not born to be a leader, I feel you grow to become a leader.&nbsp; I've seen&nbsp; few articles that described life changing experiences which made people leaders or just the 'Alphas' of the world that quickly dominate the spotlight and capture the crowd.&nbsp; Not everyone can be a leader.&nbsp; Personalities vary so much that what works for one person may not work for another and besides, there can only be so many leaders.&nbsp; </div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This 'Leadership' class might just show what it takes to be a leader.&nbsp; It may show examples of the personalities of common and uncommon leaders from the past and present. Most importantly however, is that this class might just show everyone how they themselves can become leaders and what type of leader they are on the track to becoming.&nbsp; It may provide a map to what needs to be done using different tools and allow everyone to be subjected to the sometimes disconcerting feeling that leaders endure such as leading a group and group discussions.&nbsp; Whatever is being taught, it will show everyone the basics of taking charge and further enhance their skills at maintaining the attention and respect of others.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5699211822394065457-8611916093606864947?l=my-leader.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13384800781406465770noreply@blogger.com0
